A historic moment in Vilnius: the largest U.S. flag ever displayed in Lithuania will rise above the Vilnius TV Tower on America’s 250th Anniversary, Setting Two Official Records!

On July 4 at 8:00, as the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of its Independence, the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and the U.S. Embassy in Lithuania, will display the largest United States flag ever flown in Lithuania from the iconic Vilnius TV Tower.

Covering an impressive 540 square meters and weighing 70 kilograms, the flag will create a truly unforgettable sight over Vilnius. Beyond its remarkable scale, this symbolic tribute to the enduring U.S.–Lithuania partnership will also mark a historic achievement by setting two official records – one for Lithuania and one for the City of Vilnius.

A representative of the Lithuanian Record Achievement Service will be present to officially certify both achievements:

• ◾️ the largest flag of a foreign country – the United States of America – ever flown in Lithuania, and
• ◾️ the largest such flag ever flown in the City of Vilnius, displayed from the Vilnius TV Tower.
