On May 18th, 2010, the American Chamber of Commerce invited its members and friends to meet with and hear Mr. Mantas Nocius, Managing Director of "Invest Lithuania" and Mr. Paulius Lukauskas, Managing Director of "Enterprise Lithuania".

Mr. Nocius and Mr. Lukauskas spoke on the measures for investments and export promotion, and the prospects of investments to and the export of Lithuania.

Mr. Nocius shared his views also on the recent investment achievements of Lithuania (Barclays IT Center established in our country, two other huge companies coming to Lithuania) and the market areas advantaged for foreign investments (IT business, high-tech, nano technologies, etc.). He also marked some main problems in attracting foreign investments.

Mr. Lukauskas presented the export strategy approved by the Lithuanian Government last year as well as the main activities and projects of the Enterprise Lithuania.

As Lithuania is still unknown country for a number of foreign investors and visitors, both speakers emphasized the importance of country's broader publicity and knowledgeability.
